Hyderabad: In the previous article we discussed how humidity during monsoon causes problems that cannot be ignored. In a way, the increased humidity during monsoon makes our homes a breeding ground for fungus and bacteria.
Mold and fungus can grow anywhere – furniture, clothing, cracks in walls, everyday objects and the damage they leave behind is often difficult, time consuming and expensive to fix.
However, some precautionary measures can help keep them away.
Dry Area:
The most important thing is to ensure that all areas that may be experiencing frequent leakage remain dry. Wet or moist places are a source of growth of bacteria and fungi and disinfection is the key to killing them on the spot and preventing their future growth.
If there is a wet area in the house, make sure to take steps to dry it immediately.
For areas prone to frequent seepage, you can actually plant moisture-absorbing seeds which are easily available in the market. Also, spray wet carpets, damp sofas, curtains, shelves, door mats using disinfectant spray using clinically proven formula.
airy:
Ventilation in any form is important to maintain a dry environment and prevent bacterial growth. Monsoon invites a lot of uninvited guests, which is not healthy for your health and the surrounding environment. Keep windows and doors open whenever possible, as this allows air to circulate freely.
To avoid the formation of mold spores on the walls, try to move away furniture and mattresses and spray the area with disinfectant frequently.
chaos:
Declutter is a form of making the best use of time and products and includes anything that needs to be replaced or recycled regularly at home to avoid germ growth.
It is important to keep your homes clean from time to time and put away unused items and also prevent the growth of micro organisms. Getting rid of all unwanted items is key to ensuring there is adequate airflow and sunlight. Removing clutter in this way helps a lot in maintaining cleanliness.
Open Positions:
Shared or open spaces require mandatory cleaning, as we spend most of the day here.
Shared spaces include the kitchen, tabletops, dining table area, bathroom and basin. These areas should be cleaned on a daily basis to avoid harboring these uninvited guests. We often forget about the refrigerator, but it also requires regular cleaning. If water trays and water coolers are not dried regularly, bacteria and fungus can also grow in them.
And if you find it difficult to vacuum curtains and rugs frequently, it is advisable to spray them with disinfectant regularly.
